Kikay-ness

Apparently, I have been super late. I just figured out recently that Gossip Girl is something worth to watch. Well, as stress relievers and boredom killers. I am to enumerate the things about it that I like and dislike.

I like GG because

1. For a person like me who loves to travel, the sights in New York is something somethiiiiing I really forward to seeing. I got my chance busted by a call for an interview last time.. :( I do hope that I’ll be able to visit NY soon! Yattttaaaaa!

2. I love to see how as Gossip Girl calls them the Upper East Siders of Manhattan live their lives. And how some who, unluckily, aren’t part of it is trying very hard to be actually in it.

3. Being tired all week, this kind of relieves my stress. It won’t require me to think at all on what will happen next. One of those free flowing flicks, I guess. Something nice to do when alone and bored, well aside from sleeping. Hahha.

4. The fashion is love.

5. The parties they attend to and host.

6. The mobile phones they are using! Oh well, I’ve always been like this everytime I get to see cool gadgets on the flicks I watch. Hahahha, I’d like to have an LG enV of my own! Waaahhhhh :( Bummer, it uses the CDMA technology. Boooooooo Pilipinas!

I don’t like GG because

1. As Filipinos, our local stations have the tendency to write/produce/create something patterned to Gossip Girl WHICH I believe does not fit our culture…nor the country!

2. For the Grade School and High School students. It might not be that good of an influence. I think television has a great efffect on how children become. And seeing it on TV, they might think it is just normal and okay to bully other people.

3. The gay-gay relationship. Oh I don’t know, probably because of the conservative culture here that’s why I do not approve on that.

4. Another thing, Filipinos wearing the Blair Waldorf headband. Goodness gracious! Well, it looks cute on some people.. BUT for some… Hahhaha. And please, if you are in a professional environment, say a hospital.. please please, do not wear those bright colored headbands with your all white uniform! It kinda nullifies the professional image you actually are trying to impose.

5. On Sex. That says it all. Hahahah.

That’ll be it, I guess.

I still love it though. Xoxo. :)

2006 and 2007 Christmases.  I was one of those crazy people inside Starbucks for these.

2006 & 2007 Starbucks Planners

2006 & 2007 Starbucks Planners

Last year, for some weird reasons.. I was not able to claim my planner. Oh, now I remember. They had this rule that to claim the planner, the stickers should be placed in a maximum of 2 sticker cards. And yes, being the forgettable person I am..I had about 4 cards having the total number of stickers needed. So there, I opted for The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf instead. Bitter much? Hahahah. No, don’t get me wrong, I did not get a planner from Tea Leaf. I just hate the long lines every Christmas at EVERY Starbucks branch. So I tried out Tea Leaf and found out that they had yummy drinks and food (yes, pasta&salad) as well! :) Yuuum.

Now, since I am provincially assigned.. I wont’t make it to own the Starbucks Planner. Hehhe Hello Rustan’s? Franchise in Davao needed! Lol. Anyway, I want to be IN so I ordered the 2009 Belle de Jour Power Planner

I have been told by my friends how arte I am, it’s okay :) The perks of being a girl.. and I am sooo loving it.

(L-R) Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil, Clarins Gentle Foaming Cleanser, Shu Uemura Depsea Moisture Repleneshing Lotion, Nivea SPF30 Facial Sunblock, Lancome Primordiale Skin Recharge Moisturizer & Lancome Primordiale Skin Recharge Eye Moisturizer

Skin Care: (L-R) Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil, Clarins Gentle Foaming Cleanser, Shu Uemura Depsea Moisture Repleneshing Lotion, Nivea SPF30 Facial Sunblock, Lancome Primordiale Skin Recharge Moisturizer & Lancome Primordiale Skin Recharge Eye Moisturizer

1. Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil  ÜÜÜÜÜ – What I like about this is that it removes dirt better than ordinary soaps or facial wash. Especially if you are the make-up person. Since some make-ups are made to last long, some are even waterproof.. this oil-based facial wash erases the traces of make-up better.

2. Clarins Gentle Foaming Cleanser ÜÜÜÜ – This is a gentle cleanser that provides the refreshing feel of rinsing with soap and water WITHOUT the dehydrating effects. That’s truuuuue, probably because of the plant extracts.

3. Shu Uemura Depsea Moisture Repleneshing Lotion ÜÜÜÜÜ – This is an ultra-soft and lightweight toning water that smoothes and replenishes skin with a complex of Empowered Depsea Water, Skin Flora Controller and Three Seaweed Extract. With use, skin is smooth, moisturized and radiant. This can be applied directly on skin or using a cotton just like normal toners.

4. Nivea Facial SPF30 Sunblock ÜÜÜ- I recently read in a magazine that it is a REQUIREMENT that we put a sunblock on for us to lessen our risk of having Skin Cancer. Plus even the clouds doesn’t block the sun’s UV that can damage our skin, adding up a minute to put on sunblock won’t bother us that much right? I’m not sure though if Nivea is really adviceable with beauty products.

5. Lancome Primordiale Skin Recharge Moisturizer ÜÜÜÜÜ - They claim that this is a daily moisturizer to visibly smooth and renew skin, restoring its youthful look and vitality. We cannot really stop the aging process but we can at least help slow it down by giving our skin enough moisture to recharge. The effect: texture is smoothed and refined, while the appearance of pores and fine lines is significantly reduced.

6. Lancome Primordiale Skin Recharge Eye Moisturizer ÜÜÜÜÜ – This rich, luxurious gel cream hydrates the delicate skin around the eyes for immediate softness. This gives a cooling effect for tired eyes. I use this before sleeping and it surely relaxes my eyes after tiresome hours in front of the monitor. It helps. :)

I recommend that you always check a product if it is dermatologically tested before putting it on your skin. And always put in mind that a certain product that is good for me might not be good for you. :) If you try to check on beauty products and the sales person says that it would be better to buy all products from a certain line, I don’t agree on that. Well, it still depends on you. :)

Some say that we outgrow products… meaning they are not as effective as they used to be BUT that isn’t true. The truth is, bacteria become immune to our products. So it is safe to try other products every now and then especially if you feel like your product is not working anymore. Just a friendly advice. :)

That’ll be it for now, more on kikay-ness on future posts! See ya! :)
