Hey hey hey. It’s been monthssssssss… I’ve been too busy, obviously.

I do hope that I’ll be getting enough time to blog even once a week. Or that’ll be too much to ask? Heheh.

Anyway, here goes.

December 08
Tooooooons of parties and food! I gained 3 kilos because of that. Don’t get me wrong, I love the season. I just hate myself for not having enough discipline to say NO to food. Foooooood is heaven! Yuuuuuum. It shows, hehehe. I had Christmas parties with my college berks and highschool friends. So happy to have seen them in months. Thanks Christmas! :)

January 09
After all the merry-making, it’s now back to reality.
Sooooo many things to do, I swear!

February 09
Somewhere early Feb, my laptop bag plus everything in it got stolen within the Greenbelt 2 Parking premises. The weird thing is that I parked somewhere near the exit (where I have to pay) and the entrance. In a matter of 3 hours, my car window has been broken and my laptop bag gone. As so Greenbelt claims that they are not liable because I left my valuables inside my auto. Enough said. Fine. The sadder part is that I have to pay for it US $977 :( Where the hell am I going to get that. Hahahhahahayyyys. A week after that, I went out with my officemate to Greenhills. Looking for my stolen laptop. That’s weird.
End of Feb, Jillie, Jenn and I had a Singapore trip! Yaaaaay, a long awaited vacation. Though it isn’t what I really expect it would be. Singapore did not change a bit since the last time I went there like 4 years ago, or 3. Still, the weather is unbelievably humid-hot-weird, I even had a major migraine attack on our first day. I’d choose Manila’s weather over theirs. What I like about Sing is their transport system. Panalo! Other than that, I can’t think of any. Hehehhe. I did enjoy the trip because I was with my bestEST girlfriends. Plus, I got a new care bear!

Apparently, I have been super late. I just figured out recently that Gossip Girl is something worth to watch. Well, as stress relievers and boredom killers. I am to enumerate the things about it that I like and dislike.

I like GG because

1. For a person like me who loves to travel, the sights in New York is something somethiiiiing I really forward to seeing. I got my chance busted by a call for an interview last time.. :( I do hope that I’ll be able to visit NY soon! Yattttaaaaa!

2. I love to see how as Gossip Girl calls them the Upper East Siders of Manhattan live their lives. And how some who, unluckily, aren’t part of it is trying very hard to be actually in it.

3. Being tired all week, this kind of relieves my stress. It won’t require me to think at all on what will happen next. One of those free flowing flicks, I guess. Something nice to do when alone and bored, well aside from sleeping. Hahha.

4. The fashion is love.

5. The parties they attend to and host.

6. The mobile phones they are using! Oh well, I’ve always been like this everytime I get to see cool gadgets on the flicks I watch. Hahahha, I’d like to have an LG enV of my own! Waaahhhhh :( Bummer, it uses the CDMA technology. Boooooooo Pilipinas!

I don’t like GG because

1. As Filipinos, our local stations have the tendency to write/produce/create something patterned to Gossip Girl WHICH I believe does not fit our culture…nor the country!

2. For the Grade School and High School students. It might not be that good of an influence. I think television has a great efffect on how children become. And seeing it on TV, they might think it is just normal and okay to bully other people.

3. The gay-gay relationship. Oh I don’t know, probably because of the conservative culture here that’s why I do not approve on that.

4. Another thing, Filipinos wearing the Blair Waldorf headband. Goodness gracious! Well, it looks cute on some people.. BUT for some… Hahhaha. And please, if you are in a professional environment, say a hospital.. please please, do not wear those bright colored headbands with your all white uniform! It kinda nullifies the professional image you actually are trying to impose.

5. On Sex. That says it all. Hahahah.

That’ll be it, I guess.

I still love it though. Xoxo. :)

Yes, the movie.

I was in my First Year in High School when this was shown. 1997 to be exact.

I have this Math teacher, Ms. Meiko, who kept on mentioning the movie. Makes me wonder what was it all about that made her love it so much. I’ve watched it back then and I barely understood it, all that I know is that it’s about a girl who’s deeply in love with a guy bestfriend. Practically, that’s it. Little did I know things on love..

Just this Sunday afternoon, I thought of watching it again.. Looking at Julia Roberts’ fashion (big hair and loose suit) I can easily tell that this has nearly been a decade ago. Julianne (Julia) is a well-accomplished food critic, that’s how it all started.. There goes a call from Mike (the bestfriend) that he wanted a talk with her. Being the very busy people they are, they barely have time to talk just like how they used to. Julianne’s 28th birthday is in about 3 weeks that made her remember her and Mike’s pact (in the past) that when one of them turns 28 and are still single, they would get married.. seriously the two of them. So having her birthday in a few weeks, she was up to Mike and tell him about it. However, Mike had a bigger news.. he was about to get married in 4 days. Moment of shock for Julianne. She cannot believe what she just heard. All the while she thought that she was about to marry her bestfriend… Turns out, that was what she JUST thought. Mike asked her to be by his side on that day and if she can fly to Chicago.. of course the bestfriend that she was, she was up to it. She had greater plans though, she was thinking of getting Mike life back in her life..

No, no, no, no. I’m a busy girl. I’ve got exactly four days to break up a wedding, steal the bride’s fella and I haven’t one clue how to do it.

The scene in the Chicago airport where she saw Mike, my heart thumped. The typical romantic story. The problem is, this is just the beginning of either a happy or not-so-happy ending. That same moment, she also met Kimmie (Cameron Diaz), the bride. Kim was perfect. Nevertheless, she was really on the move to separate the two and have Mike back in her life. Kim knew everything about Julianne, Mike has told her everything.. Kim too was very happy to have met Julianne and was even overjoyed to be with her. In 3 seconds, she wanted Julianne to be her bestfriend too. Putting myself in Julianne’s shoes, it is like fighting for what you should do for others or for yourself. Realizing she loves Mike but was not able to tell it within the 9 years that they have been together. And she was sure that Mike still does love her. She attempted to talk to Mike about it but failed. The night before the wedding, Mike got a message that made him doubt about his relationship about Kim. He told Julianne that he would call-off the wedding. Julianne on the other hand is not so sure on how she feels upon hearing the news. First, she set it up. Second, she’s messing the could-have-been best day of her bestfriend! She somehow feel responsible for what was happening. The next day was the wedding day. Finally, she had guts to tell Mike about how she really feels and the reason why she flew to Chicago.

It has been a long while since she realized on how she loves Mike…and probably was too late. Mike was sincerely in love with Kim and so was Kim with Mike. Breaking it up could be a heinous crime. Finally, she gave them her blessings. She was happy for both of them, Mike and Kimmie, but at the same time…hurt. :(

Not the typical happy ending love story, huh?

Well yeah, it’s reality. After this second view of the flick, I realized why Ms. Meiko was so into it. She has shared in class that she has this bestfriend, Sir Sam. Could have been she was also in love with him that made her relate herself to Julianne.

Nevertheless, though I’m 24.. I know very little on love. As per what Julianne has done, I agree.. people could do really crazy things when in love. But then sometimes, we should also consider the feelings of other people not just our own. I believe that love is a two-way thing.

When you love someone.. just say it. Say it out loud otherwise, the moment just passes by… :(
